The Jackson 5 - Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 (1969)

Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5 is the debut studio album from Gary, Indiana-based soul family band the Jackson 5, released on the Motown label in December 1969. The Jackson 5's lead singer, a preteenage boy named Michael (who later became a universally-recognized pop star on his own and "The King of Pop"), and his older brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, and Marlon, became pop successes within months of this album's release. Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5's only single, "I Want You Back", became a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 within weeks of the album's release and eventually sold five million copies worldwide.[2] The album reached #5 on the Pop Albums chart, and spent nine weeks at #1 on the R&B/Black Albums chart.
The album title suggested that Motown star Diana Ross had discovered the group, as do the Ross-penned liner notes on the back cover. Ross' supposed discovery of the Jackson 5 was in fact part of Motown's marketing and promotions plan for the Jackson 5; Motown artists Bobby Taylor and Gladys Knight also claimed to have discovered the Jacksons. Ross did, however, introduce the Jackson 5 to the public both in concert and on television. Actually, Motown signed "The Jackson Five" in March 1969 after their discovery and first contract with an owner and producer of Steeltown Records in Gary, Indiana in November 1967.

Nick Kamen - Us (1988)

Ivor Neville "Nick" Kamen (born 15 April 1962 in Harlow, Essex, England) is an English male model, songwriter and musician, and brother of session guitarist Chester Kamen.
He is most remembered, in the UK, for his 1985 performance in Levi's "Launderette" television commercial, where he strips down to stone-wash his blue jeans in a 1950s style public laundromat while he waits clad only in his boxer shorts, which was one of a series of Bartle Bogle Hegarty advertisements that dramatically increased the popularity of Levi 501s.
His first single was the 1986 UK number five hit "Each Time You Break My Heart" from his eponymous début album. Written and produced by Madonna and Stephen Bray,
Then in 1988, Kamen released his second album ``Us´´, produced by Patrick Leonard, who has produced some of Madonna albums. This song was the first single, and Madonna again made a collaboration, though only singing the backing vocals, without contributing to the producing or songwriting. It was composed by Nick Kamen, David Williams and Patrick Leonard.
On the video we can watch Kamen lost in a little village in the desert, where he meet a very pretty giant woman.

Patti Labelle - Live (1992)

The CD has two studio cuts that are outstanding, especially the dance groove of All Right Now. Some of the outstanding live cuts are, Somebody loves you Baby with talented soulful backing vocals, and the When you've been Blessed with full gospel choir. Hero is dedicated to her sister and all those loved ones we take for granted. Patti has no problem reaching out to all people, gay, straight, black and white.
Her signature song, Over the Rainbow with her impressive soaring vocals closes the set. The lady gives her all, and the audience shows its appreciation. If you have never seen Ms. Labelle live, find out what you have been missing.
Patti seemlesly mixes the Philly Soul Sound (You Are My Friend, If Only You Knew, Lady Marmalade) with her equally hot newer tracks (Feels Like Another One, Somebody Loves You, and New Attitude).

Spargo - Hold On (1982)

Sergio Mendes And The New Brasil '77 - Sergio Mendes And The New Brasil '77 (1977)

In the mid- to late '60s, Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 were one of the most successful acts doing stark Latin pop for A&M. By the early '70s, the members of the classic Brasil '66 lineup had moved on and styles had changed. Mendes ended up on Elektra/Asylum in the mid- to late '70s, when the label was best-known for its laid-back and polished pop/rock artists like Carly Simon, the Eagles, and Jackson Browne. For this 1977 set, Mendes didn't pick up an acoustic guitar and sign on Waddy Watchel, however. Sergio Mendes & the New Brasil '77 has Mendes in a fully updated, glossy R&B/pop/jazz mode. For fans that might not be the best news. The covers of "Love Me Tomorrow" and "Mozambique" have all of the accoutrements of stylish late-'70s R&B/jazz and most of their facelessness. The sleek cover of "If You Leave Me Now" does have Mendes' trademark close, halting harmonies, and an inventive arrangement. Stevie Wonder contributes two B+ tracks, "Love City" and "The Real Thing," and both warmly bear his harmonic signatures. Players who were part of Wonder's great '70s band Wonderlove also contribute tracks, like the aforementioned "Mozambique" and the playful "P-Ka-Boo." Like many artists doing albums like this, Mendes all but disappears in the gloss of the mix. The results are fair to good, but anyone liking his '60s work can't help but feel disappointed.

McCartney II is the second solo album by Paul McCartney, and the first since the formation of Wings in 1971. It was released in 1980, a year before the band's dissolution and while their future lay in limbo. Ben Harper - Diamonds On The Inside (2003)

Diamonds On the Inside is a 2003 album by American singer-songwriter Ben Harper. Although he did not explicitly credit the Innocent Criminals for the first time in 10 years, all the touring members continue to support him on the album.
On this album, Harper brought on several new additions to his band, the first being guitarist Nicky Panicci (aka Nicky P) in 2002 who is the first guitar player to be credited on a Ben Harper record. Panicci toured with Harper on the Diamonds on the Inside Tour for almost a year. After leaving Harper's band on his own accord, Marc Ford, formerly of The Black Crowes replaced Panicci and joined Harper's band.
